Two people have sadly died as a result of an invasion of unexplained microscopic insects in the Agona Amponsah farming hamlet and its surroundings in the Agona West Municipality of the Central Region.


Residents are unable to visit their fields due to fear of being bitten or hurt by these insects as a result of the occurrence, which has caused dread and panic.

At first, locals thought the enigmatic insects may be mosquitoes, which are the carriers of Dengue virus. But a more thorough investigation and evaluation revealed that the patients had nothing in common with dengue illness.
According to reports, when these small, black flying insects bite, they inject poison into the bloodstream, making people feel chilly almost instantly.

Residents who talked with Precious Media claimed that although the insects only strike in the early morning and at approximately 5:00 PM, they don’t really know where they come from.
Residents of Agona West Municipality have expressed their concerns over the enigmatic insects and have urged Evans Onomah Coleman, the Municipal Chief Executive, to take quick action.

throughout order to stop the infestations, they are asking the municipality to do a fumigation exercise throughout the neighbourhood.
