One of the dormitory complexes for the Ahantaman Girls Senior High School in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis has been completely damaged by fire.

On Wednesday, July 17, after all of the pupils had departed for their individual lessons, a fire broke out.

All of the possessions of five of the pupils were burned. Charles Mintaba, the school’s PTA chairman, verified the occurrence and stated that an electrical malfunction was thought to be the source of the fire.
“Trunks, beds, bed linens, provisions, books, and other student belongings totalling thousands of Ghana Cedis have been completely burned,” the speaker declared.

He said that Sekondi-based Ghana Fire Service officers hurried to the area to put out the fire.

“Their parents won’t be able to quickly replace the burned stuff. As a result, we are urging organisations, benefactors, and other people to support the school and the pupils,” he said.
