The founder and leader of Life Assembly Worship Centre, Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has dismissed the concepts of heaven and hell as fraudulent.
Osofo Kyiri Abosom, who is also the founder and flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), made these remarks during an appearance on Oyerepa TV on July 26, 2024.
“I don’t believe in heaven; I don’t believe in hell. There’s nothing like that. It’s a big scam,” Osofo Kyiri Abosom stated.
He argued that, the belief in heaven and hell is an illusion and urged Ghanaians to focus on the tangible task of national development instead of waiting for a promised paradise.
“Heaven is on earth, so if we don’t develop our country, we’ll just sit around and waste our time,” he emphasized. Osofo Kyiri Abosom further challenged the authenticity of religious teachings about the afterlife, asserting, “Whatever the pastors tell you is a lie. If one dies, he is dead forever, and nothing else happens.”
