After reportedly stealing a motorbike in Agona Asafo, which is situated in the Agona East District of the Central Region, an unnamed guy was beaten to death.
Precious Media News has learnt that the deceased hired an okada rider in Agona Swedru town to transport him to Agona Asafo so he could meet someone. When they arrived at a peaceful spot in Agona Asafo, the dead used a knife to attack the okada rider, putting pepper in his eyes before taking off with the motorbike.
According to sources, the okada rider made it to Asafo town and told his other riders about what had happened, which prompted them to pursue the suspect.
At around 4:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024, the event took place. Thankfully, they were able to apprehend the culprit, beat him, and burn him alive.
Ishmael Odoom, the assemblyman for Agona Asafo, issued a warning to anyone engaging in robbery in the region, advising them to stop in order to avoid facing the same penalties.
While the police carry out their investigation, the body has been sent to the mortuary of the Agona Swedru hospital for preservation. As of yet, no one has been arrested.
