The Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Directorate in the Central Region, Kasoa to be precise has disclosed that it has recorded about 5 cases of sexual harassment among student in the past two years.
According to the Municipal Education Director, Miss Faustina Alimatu Braimah, some of the cases include student to student harassment, student to father or Step father harassment and student to strangers sexual harassment.Miss Faustina noted her outfit has dealt with all these cases bringing the perpetrators to book and ensuring such incidents do not repeat itself.
In an interview with Precious Media, during the Education Directorates float to create awareness ahead of the Directorates 10years anniversary slated for Thursday 9th May, 2024.She added that the directorate has also improved in terms of Girl-Child Education.
In conclusion, she said the directorate as part of their anniversary organize Operation clean your school frontage for the schools in the municipality on Wednesday 8th May, 2024 before the main Durbar on 9th May, 2024.
