On Tuesday, July 30, the GaDangme Coalition Against Land Injustice and the Coalition of La Associations will launch a series of protests against what they see as the unethical appropriation of lands by political bodies in the Greater Accra Region.

The Trade Fair site, which includes the Labadi Beach and La Palm Royal Beach Hotels, is of special interest to the organisation.

They claimed that the original owners had not been paid the amount mandated by law.

They have also expressed concerns over the Prisons Service property at Cantonments, where a private developer intends to utilise a portion of the area for private enterprise and rehabilitate the facilities.

To address the issues brought up by the young group, the Defence and Interior Committee of Parliament is set to visit the Ghana Prisons Service site at Roman Ridge in Accra on Tuesday as well as the Ghana Prisons Service barracks at Cantonments.
