Mawuena Adzo Dumor Trebarh, the former CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), was put to rest today, Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Her legacy and memory were honoured this morning at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka, Accra, where officials, relatives, and friends convened for the funeral ceremony.

Mrs. Trebarh will always be recognised for her outstanding contributions to the investment climate in Ghana and her powerful leadership at the GIPC.

On Thursday, April 11, 2024, Mrs. Trebarh, the late Komla Dumor’s sister, passed away.

During April 2013 until January 2017, she became the first female CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), marking a significant career advancement.

Prior to her historic appointment, she had prestigious roles at Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd. and Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd., where she later overcame obstacles as head of Corporate Communications after breaking ground as the first female underground exploration geologist.

As the head of Corporate Service at Mobile telecoms Network (MTN), she made contributions to the telecoms industry as well.

At Inspire Africa, she served as the organization’s first director and chief business strategist.
