Roads and Highways minister inspects road projects in Western North Region

An inspection visit of several road projects and continuing construction projects in the Western North Region was conducted by Francis Asenso Boakye, Minister of Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for the Bantama Constituency in the Asante Region.

The tour covered three constituencies: Bibiani Anhweaso Bekwai, Sehwi Wiawso, and Sehwi Juaboso. Accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Roads and Highways, the Ghana Highway Authority, the Department of Feeder Roads, the Western North Regional Minister, Joojo Rocky Obeng, and several NPP parliamentary candidates.

The Minister and his colleagues started the inspection at Sehwi Wiawso-Old Town, where they examined the continuing construction from Kess Town Junction to Adiemra Old Town.

By the end of this year, the project is expected to be finished.

Residents of Adiemra Old Town have hailed the government for the excellent effects that the road development has brought to the region, according to a report by Boah Augustine of Adom News.

Minister Francis Asenso Boakye gave people of Sehwi Juaboso Constituency assurances during his visit that a contractor would shortly be appointed to work on the deteriorated portion of the Benchema Barrier to Juaboso route.
