After being trapped on a pillar beneath the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange, a woman was safely rescued by members of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
There are still unanswered concerns regarding the woman’s mental health because it is unknown what exactly put her in such a dangerous situation.
While they continue to look into how the woman got up on the pillar, the authorities are giving her the assistance and attention she needs.
A throng of commuters and traders turned out to see the heroic efforts of the firefighters as they worked feverishly to pull her to safety.
The woman—whose identity has not been made public—was ultimately subdued and no injuries were recorded.
