Dormaa Youths Association patches potholes on Dormaa Ahenkro Township and access roads

The Dormaa Youths Association, a Youth group in Dormaa Ahenkro of the Bono Region that aims to support development in and around the Dormaa Township have begun to patch the potholes on the the Dormaa Township/ access roads to reduce traffic accidents.

Speaking to Hon. Daniel Atta Awumi, Assembly Member for Schaefer Electoral Area, who doubles as the urban council chairman and Chairman of the Dormaa Youth Association, he noted that the youths are very concerned about the development of Dormaa Ahenkro and so they have taken it upon themselves to embark on communal activities that don’t require huge sums of money to enhance the growth and development of Dormaa Ahenkro.

He said they are motivated by the communal Spirit of Dormaamanhene and as such, the government cannot do everything hence their decision to patch the potholes to enhance the movement of vehicles within the Dormaa Township stressing that all youths within and around Dormaa must exhibit the same gesture to support the growth of the country.

Some of the Members of the Association also explained their reasons for the exercise stating that their main purpose is to help Osagyefo Nana Agyemang Badu II to develop Dormaa Ahenkro and its environs. They urged all the youths to participate in the exercise to ensure the development of Dormaa Ahenkro and its surrounding communities.
