Two suspects arrested in Awutu Bereku after tracing missing iPhone

Following an operation at Awutu Bereku in the Central area, the Awutu Bereku Police Command detained two suspects after they made an attempt to locate a lost iPhone.

The accused, Kasoa Ofaakor residents Charles Amoah, 25, and Prince Wahab, 22, had gone to the Awutu Bereku new site to carry out a house-to-house operation.

While being pursued by several victims during their operation, one of the suspects lost their iPhone.

After a while, the suspects started phoning their number to find out where the lost phone was, according to police sources.

After making many efforts to retrieve their phone, one of the victims said the suspects went to an MTN office in Kasoa to change his SIM card.
The victim told the MTN employees that the people in issue were sought by the police and were criminals.

The accused were consequently detained by MTN employees, which resulted in their arrest.

The Awutu Bereku District Police Command is now holding the suspects and helping with the investigation.
