An accident between Aseseeso and Somanya in the Eastern region early on Saturday morning has verified the death of one culinary staff member at Koforidua Technical Senior High School.
In addition, a number of other people were hurt and sent to the Yilo Krobo District Hospital.
Along with other staff members, the deceased was on the school bus from Koforidua to Akwamufie when the tragedy occurred.
About seventy members of the company were headed to Akwamufie for the last burial rituals of a colleague’s late wife when the tragedy happened.
According to the report, the motorist drove off the road after losing control while descending the Aseseeso-Somanya route.
Break failure is thought to have been the cause of the disaster.
While some of the injured were sent to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua, the remainder of the sufferers received treatment and were later released.
