The terrible situation involving the death of a KNUST graduate has been addressed by the management of the hotel located in Anaji, Takoradi in the Western region.

In an interview with Adom News, the manager, Gabriel Paddmon Hackman, acknowledged that the unexplained death had happened at their facility but he withheld more details on Lois Abena Koranteng’s cause of death.

When the Petroleum Engineer graduate checked into the hotel on June 7, 2024, she was reportedly travelling for work with her supervisor and a corporate driver.

At first light on June 8, 2024, she was discovered dead in a swimming pool, just dressed in a bra and pant.

The hotel stated that it did not have a working CCTV system, therefore attempts to find out more have been fruitless.

After being given this information, Gabriel Paddmon Hackman acknowledged that the event occurred prior to his assumption of the hotel’s management role.

He did not hesitate to clarify, though, that two hotel employees had been detained in relation to the matter and had since been released on bond.

When questioned about the accusations the accused faced and the conditions of their release, the manager remained silent.

The manager reassured Lord Tawiah, the Adom News correspondent, that the probe is still proceeding.

Because the matter has received a lot of media attention, he is confident that the Police will release their reports.

However, the victim’s relatives reported that despite a formal complaint being filed at the Anaji-Takoradi Police Station, neither an investigation nor an arrest has been made.
